Everything you need to know about booking a green screen shoot with CinemaViva.
What should I wear to a green screen shoot?
Avoid green, yellow-green, or any color close to the screen. Solid, medium-toned colors work best — navy, burgundy, gray, and black are all great. Stay away from fine patterns like herringbone or tight plaid, which can cause a visual "moiré" effect. We'll send you a full prep guide when you book.
How long does a green screen shoot take?
Most single-subject shoots run 1–2 hours. Panel discussions or multi-person setups may need 3–4 hours. Our flat-rate package includes up to 2 hours of production time, and we can scale up if your project needs more coverage.
Do I need to bring my own script?
No — but it helps to have at least an outline. Our team can help you refine talking points during pre-production. We also include a teleprompter at no extra charge, so your talent can deliver naturally without memorizing lines.
What virtual backgrounds can be used?
We can use any static image, looping video, animated graphic, or branded background you provide. We can also source stock backgrounds for you — office environments, conference rooms, outdoor locations, and more. If you have a specific look in mind, just send us a reference image.
How long until I receive my finished video?
Standard turnaround is 5–7 business days from shoot completion. Rush delivery is available for time-sensitive projects. Your final video will be delivered in web-optimized formats ready for YouTube, LinkedIn, your website, and more.
Can you film at my location instead of your studio?
Yes. We bring a portable green screen setup to hotels, conference rooms, offices, and event venues throughout San Diego and beyond. All you need is a space roughly 10×12 ft with standard power access. We handle transport, setup, and teardown.
How much does green screen video production cost?
Our all-inclusive flat-rate package starts at $1,195 and covers up to 2 hours of filming, full crew, camera, lighting, audio, teleprompter, editing, color grading, and delivery. No hourly overages. Custom quotes are available for larger productions, live streaming, or multi-day shoots. Contact us for a custom quote.
Can I live stream from your green screen studio?
Yes. Our studio supports up to four-camera live streaming with real-time green screen keying. We can broadcast to YouTube, LinkedIn, Zoom, or any RTMP-compatible platform. Ask about our live streaming add-on when booking.
